Meet the Taxcafe Team

Nick Braun EA PhD. Nick founded Taxcafe in 1999 and has been involved in the tax publishing world since 1989 as a writer, editor and publisher. He is an Enrolled Agent licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS, and is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the National Association of Tax Professionals. He also holds a PhD in economics and is a columnist for several investment and business magazines.

Lee Hadnum. Lee is a qualified lawyer and accountant. He worked in Ernst & Young’s tax department for several years before joining the Taxcafe team and is the author of several bestselling tax books for small business owners and investors. He has been a tax accountant for over 12 years and often lectures on tax to accountancy students.

Aileen Smith, PhD. Aileen founded Taxcafe together with Nick and has almost 9 years experience in the tax publishing world. She is also a very active real estate investor and developer and has a PhD in history.

Aaron is Taxcafe's permanent web developer. He is an expert at developing and maintaining large customer databases and a specialist in internet programming languages.
